  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So I had to take a state test today for work and wanted to grab a few SW Maddies for a couple guys at the lounge to try. Well knowing how state test go I wanted to make sure I had ample time to get there. Ran down grabbed the 5ct caddy and went to the Vino to get the few I needed. Shit the box was second from bottom. Took all the full 3er baggies out i had sanwiched in "holes" (or so I thought) grabbed the sw's and went to put the box back in. I lifted the others up to slide the Tat box back in (If I dont do it this way it takes another 10 mins to figure out how I had it stacked). And thats when it happened. Why the F wont this box go in. Pulled it back out and relized I had left a 3 er baggie from Mitch of the 1930s'40s clear Havanas in there and they looked wrecked! Mother F@%*!&. I screamed thank god no 1 was home. Not only a 3er but the 1 cigar I got only 1 of that Mitch told me was the best he has had of any of the aged Clears. Why do I get punished for being such a good BOTL? I don't understand it. Oh well it is what it is. Ill still smoke em somehow but I was planning on gifting a few to you guys as stated a couple days ago in PIFs.

ahhhh...S***... thats a horrible accident. It might cheer you up remembering that they've spent someone's entire lifetime aging for one special moment.. no wait, that probably wont make u feel better.. sorry
I know you'll break out the pipe if need be to enjoy them!

I've had a similar situation a couple of weeks ago! My humidifier fell on top of one of cigars w/o cello inside my humi. Thank God for th cheaper cigar next to it created a wedge in between them and there was minimal damage to a 1990 vintage La Gloria Cubana Serie R sitting right next to the others! It was close....

I had a similar catastrophy like that once. I had a glass top humy filled with VSG about 3 years ago. Wife was cleaning and dusting the table the humidor was on and knocked a heavy statue off of a shelf and it landed on my humidor. Broke through the glass and destoyed a dozen of my VSGs. The rest I had to brush the glass off of, took hours. That was not a good day.

Oh, what a bummer! It sounds like you may have been in a rush. That is when it happens. I have adopted a NASCAR saying and found it to be true in more than cars on the track; "Slow down and you can go faster"! I am sorry to hear the news but hopefully it is not as bad as you think. Good luck and keep your fingers crossed.
