  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm surprised by this to be honest. He played great last year and showed that he was probably good for another couple of years. I guess he wants to go out playing at a high level instead of being thought of as washed up. It was great watching him play last season still having fun and competing hard.

Bill, flag this post and shoot me a PM if that ever happens, as I will bet a large amount of nice smokes that will never happen. Not saying that he wouldn't make a guest appearance at a game for a few moments, but NEVER as a job. That is not in his profile, I guarantee he has no interest in being behind a mic.

No worries, we can't all be fans of every team. But certainly there are more players than I can mention that I'm a fan of and respect from other teams...well, except maybe the Vikings. :halfgrinw
From one Vikings fan - don't let the door hit you in the a$$! :grinFU:

j/k - he is absolutely one of the greats and, if for nothing other than a change of pace, I'll be happy to see someone else pick apart the sorry Vikings pass defense!

LOL, if it's any consequence, I was at the Viking/Charger game, watching from the sidelines when AP broke the single game rushing record. One of my very good friends owns the bike that Ragnor (or whatever his name is) rides out on the field before every game. Todd had his bike painted by the same guy that did mine, geeze, wonder where he got the idea for his theme? :hysterica

He will be sorely missed. According to some reports, Randy Moss resigning with the Pats was a contributing factor to this in that Bret made a push for GB to sign him last year.

That's the worst piece of news I've heard in a while!!!

I can't blame him for going out on his terms though, if any quarterback ever deserved that, it's Brett!

I'm glad he decided to go out on his own terms. He's been an incredible player to watch, and one of the few who really showed what it meant to enjoy your "job." It's a shock to think of the Packers playing without Farve under-center, but now he gets to take a well earned and deserved vacation with his family.

And a random thought I just had...my youngest sister hasn't known the Packers without Farve. She turned 6 the season he started with the Pack.

You pretty much have to figure, unless someone is a real sports nut, that anyone 24 or younger has no recollection of the Packers having any other QB's, pretty amazing...right Chicago!
