You forgot to add a imho at the end of "offer". If you don't like it you don't like it...no big deal, but I wouldn't start dissing peoples love of certain genres. If you want to, you will find great country, but it is not a genre full of Neil Pearts', Jimi Hendrix's, SRV's, and Les Claypools. Its simple music that comes from living life in the country and started by sitting on the porch strumming a 6 string. Nothing fancy and not meant to be. Just real life stuff. Go find yourself some Junior Brown and that might start you on your path. The Jimi or SRV of country guitar. ;)
I wasn't trying to diss anyone or their choice of genre, which is why I made the apology. To each their own I figure. So yeah IMHO country (and opera) don't have much to offer, but if they do it for ya'll, great...enjoy! I will check Junior out soon. Thanks!

I saw your apology and thought maybe the whole thing was a joke anyway. It's all good B! I was called a fag in school because I skated, was on the swim team, went to raves, listened to house and techno, etc etc. I hate that shit, so I just wanted to stand up for our fellow brothers. There's a lot of shit I don't like, but thats my problem, so I keep it to myself. It's also important that we separate real country from the "Teen Disney/Kids Bop formula music, bang out as many hits as you can, F*ck musicianship" country that dominates 95% of what is heard on the radio. Never put Waylon, Merle, Hank, and Johnny in that category. Peace brother B.
