Well I finally did it. I made a pipe.
I started restoring pipes oh I guess close to 1 1/2 to 2 years ago to learn about pipes so I could start making them. I, at least I think so, got pretty good at restoring old pipes. Ive been collecting the stuff I needed to start making them.
Tonight I had no intentions to make a pipe. I was actually just going to finish setting up my work area. Had to get my 2 belt sanders up and running. I had picked up a crappy pre drilled block from cbid awhile ago. Wasnt worth making a pipe out of. Wall was too thin and had real bad spots. But it was the perfect piece to test out the sanders with. Then I wedged it in the lathe. Well when it blew up and went to pieces, I was just started to have fun. I grapped a briar block and decided to see what I actually could do. The stem is from the predrilled block kit. I have yet to buy any vulcanite.
