  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The origin factory for nearly all private label lines is a closely guarded secret. Folks like Savinelli and Peterson don't want consumers to find out they're making pretty good pipes for less than their standard lines.

Same thing with the "Great Value" branded stuff at Wal-Mart and all in house brands. The bags of generic shredded cheddar cheese are probably also made in the same factory that makes Kraft shredded cheddar cheese.
If it isn't, the formula /recipe is usually the same. Wal Mart is the world's largest retailer. They have ways of making people hand over secrets. When the RIAA and record labels refused to let them sell CDs for $10 they threatened to replace the music section with appliances. They just kept sending Sharpie checks for the old wholesale price when they raised the price. Eventually Sharpie agreed to an exclusive price for Wal Mart.

The list of stories I've heard from people that truly know is long and crazy.
