Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Well I shop at Costco so.... pretty big!so if you're only keeping your valuables, how big does it have to be to store viagra and milk of magnesia?
Nice!Well I shop at Costco so.... pretty big!
I have this brand in the Defender series. I looked long and hard for safes and settled on this brand. It has one of the best fire ratings (90 minutes at 1400-1600 degrees), has a lifetime warranty, and wasn't crazy expensive. I looked at ones from Costco, Sportsmans Warehouse, the Liberty, Brand, etc and they don't match the specs. If you're putting it in your basement, you probably don't need to bolt it down. Mine is in my basement and with everything in it, it probably weighs over 1000 lbs, so I didn't have the installers bother bolting it. If its in your garage, that's a different story.I recommend the "Fort Knox" brand..

Cash and important papers. Any recommended source for a drop safe? Will you be putting cash in it frequently or just general valuables? You can pick up a drop safe pretty cheap and they weight a flippin ton sooo...
Another good idea.if you have a harbor freight, they have some decent fireproof safes, that do bolt in. Not the greatest quality, but should be able to bolt in.
Yeah, I guess it boils down to how much the stuff you're trying to protect is worth.Sounds awesome, but is probably a little more safe than I am looking for.
