If you get this released within a year, I have a friend who will be very upset you beat him to it...Guys,
The cigar will be somewhat pricey...somewhere below the Padron 1926 range when it releases in early 2010. Sorry!
You can get in on it early at a lower price point......details will follow.
The tobacco is from one farm and a recent vintage. The tobacco is fermented completely and beautiful... I can't go into complete details but I will keep you posted.....
Pete
Good for you. It's about time someone put together this idea, such as Robaina's, outside Cuba.
I don't know if it's too common but I tend to find that single vega cigars have more peaks & valleys than common cigars. Be it tobacco with similar aging characteristics because it's from the same few hectares or just similar tobacco making up the blend, I don't know. All I do know is that when they're on, true cigars of one vintage are quite stunning.
You should do something like this as they do with Port or Champagne where certain years are released because they meet set quality standards. You might have 2 or 3 releases a decade but they'll be phenominal and you better damn well believe they will stand the test of time.
Good Luck
