  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How does Tatuaje reinvent?

Guys,

The cigar will be somewhat pricey...somewhere below the Padron 1926 range when it releases in early 2010. Sorry!
You can get in on it early at a lower price point......details will follow.
The tobacco is from one farm and a recent vintage. The tobacco is fermented completely and beautiful... I can't go into complete details but I will keep you posted.....

Pete
If you get this released within a year, I have a friend who will be very upset you beat him to it...

Good for you. It's about time someone put together this idea, such as Robaina's, outside Cuba.

I don't know if it's too common but I tend to find that single vega cigars have more peaks & valleys than common cigars. Be it tobacco with similar aging characteristics because it's from the same few hectares or just similar tobacco making up the blend, I don't know. All I do know is that when they're on, true cigars of one vintage are quite stunning.
You should do something like this as they do with Port or Champagne where certain years are released because they meet set quality standards. You might have 2 or 3 releases a decade but they'll be phenominal and you better damn well believe they will stand the test of time.
Good Luck

having smoked one of these, it really was outstanding. i think that most tat lovers that liked the frank and the black will like it. but i also think that some of the non tat lovers out there (there are a few crazies out there) will also enjoy it. it's not the typical tat profile, but still rich and full. the thing that still blew me away was that it was only two weeks old! some voodoo in the fermentation! the verite.

his idea is to sell "futures" on this cigar, not unlike vintage wine. that is supposed to occur later this year. the cigar will be released next year and any that have not been pre-sold, will be available, at a much higher price.
