  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Inexpensive to me is around the 5-6 dollar range. If you are referring to the bundled and mixed filler cigar price range I would suggest FDOs (they make a lancero!) and Benchmade by Ashton (Pepin blend).

One of the guys over at CI has been hounding me to try it... Well he finally just gave me one. I smoked it today & was very impressed. I figured it for a $5-6 smoke & looked it up online to discover that it's $50 for a box of 20?

For a cheap, full-flavored smoke (similar to Casa Magna), This is a real steal.

I'd really like to hear some other brother's opinions on this...
I havent tried the intenso. Had a box of the naturals I buried in the back yard.

Can't blame you, I'd have done the same... Maybe that's why I enjoyed it. My expectations were set pretty low.

At the price, they are worth trying. (Not suggesting that anyone run out & buy a box without trying first!)

Ditto that. Most Toranos and Olivas can be had for a reasonable price and all that I've tried are quite good.

I like Rocky Patels and CAOs as well, and they can be found cheaply on cbid. CAO sells very well at my local B&M, but every time I'm there I think "yes, that is a good cigar, but I paid $3 while this guy just paid $8...hehe."

I like the 5 Vegas Series A for a cheap smoke, particularly the Anomaly vitola. I just got a box of them for $31 on cbid.

or
Tat P series. I personally like the P series as a short fill and think it trumps Oliva G which I know is popular. IMOP I think Benchmade short filler is too abrasive, and I like big flavor cigars...Just MOP.

It sounds like everyone has their own definition of "inexpensive." For me, it's a lot less than many of the guys here. Lately, I've been smoking Punch Champions, which at $4.60 I don't consider inexpensive. And I'm far from finished by the time I get back from walking the dog, which is my main smoking time.

Recently I've tried Punch London Club, which at $1.79 apiece is what I call inexpensive. Not as smooth or long-burning as the Champions, but good enough to satisfy me and my wallet as well.

My go to smoke is the park avenue by ghurka. A box of 20 from cbid runs around 30 bucks, so they are more then affordable in my book.
