Yes, it takes quite a long time for it to heal enough to be reasonably pain free. Especially when you bump it a little, which took mine about a year. But the good news is it does get back to normal as long as you don't decide to crawl underneath a running lawnmower. :bigtears:
Week before last I was working on my truck on the side of the road and slammed them with the ebrake pedal on release... Holy mother.. :cry: I think my father in law learned entirely new creative uses of the English language..

Well, a couple weeks ago I got clearance to get the tips wet :bored: o_O :hilarious:
Thank God. As an obsessive hand washer that was such a blessing and relief.
Since then the zombie tips were releasing more and more, and Sunday night I was finally able to cut them free.

So, all in all, coming along good. A little misshapen due to the bits that got chopped off completely. But hopefully it'll heal up well enough for unimpeded function.
I thought it would be better with the caps off @Old Smokey, but wow so freaking sensitive! :sorry:
