Great offroad, not so great on the highway athough the added HP is a big plus for 2012. I have a 1997 and a 2009 unlimited all decked out. I love them both.

I opted for the manual on all my Wranglers; I heard the mid 2000 engines were a little sluggish with an auto trans. I think they upgraded the 2011 though.

Here is my 2011 JKU Sahara...me, the wife, and kids love it. It is terrible on gas though...but you only live once.

That looks great. I have the 2007 Unlimited but I think Ill sell it on the island before I come back into the states (usually can get a lot more for a car here) and then get a 2011 Unlimited.

I've seen these for sale already. No leather seats though. Contemplating going with a 2012 because of the engine but I'm really not that picky on engine pickup as I drive a Honda Element right now and the 2011's are at a nice discount now. lol. G1

First of all Jeeps are a sickness not unlike Cigars, so you may want to recognize that prior to purchasing. Second, it's tough for most people to go from the ride of a car to a Wrangler as sometimes they have different expectations.

That said, I love mine, but it's not an every day driver.

I was just talking with the wife over the weekend and telling her my next vehicle will be a Wrangler Unlimited. Our rule is we never have more than one car payment so we have to pay off our car payment before I can get it. That hasn't stopped me from looking at them online every day and dreaming. I will definitely be purchasing the Fastback roof kit for it!
