  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ahah usually I'll come across a plugged one everyonce and again. Even if it doesn't taste good, I can justify smoking it since i've spent my own coin on it; just the way I am. HOWEVER if the suckers plugged, its like I snap. I usually twist it in half and throw the end with the foot, then I guess for some reason I rub the remaining member in my hand as if I am fanning the leafs and throw that part on the ground.

Kinda weird...

The worst thing i have ever done to a cigar.... I was mowing the law and had the worst taste out of it ever so i threw it in front of my mower and ran it over a couple of times.

I just dropped my freshly lit Holy Lance cracking that pretty wrapper. Damn. Still smoking good, though.

If i have a stick that just tunnels ruthlessly, burns sideways, defies my drawpoker or is just unforgiveably rotten, I make a little scene of running the end of it under the faucet and spiking it hard as I can into the big garbage can behind the bar at our club. A fitting fate for the sticks that piss me off.

As far as cigar tragedy's go, I think that a good idea for another thread. Hmmm....

I pretty much just leave it, come back, check if it went off, then break it in peaces and put in a a bag for my mom to use it as fertilizer. She says it's the best fertilizer there is.
Why waste such a good fertilizer?

Oh I beg to differ. I still have three quarters of an Opus X double corona from the Toast Across America dinner that you lit and then left still sitting in the Stinky ashtray in my cigar lounge. :wtf: The sadest thing I have ever seen.

I tear it up and spread it around the yard, insects have an affinity to nicotine, or so I was told. If the problem was a bad burn I usually perform an autopsy to check the construction and moisture content. I had a Graycliff 1666 Presidente last week that gave me fits, I opened it and I swear there was like a piece of wood inside! I'm assuming it was some sort of stem or really thick dried out vein.

I've seen this too..not on a Graycliff, but I've had "sticks" blocking my...sticks on a couple occasions.

But now that I have a draw-poker (thanks RigilKent!!!), I have yet to resort to tossing or "killing" a cigar.
