RE: Asylum lancero

Didn't do it for me. First third was just a mild pepper taste with a barely noticeable cocoa. Let it die right after the halfway mark. Was mine a dud? How many of you have tried this one?
I wasn't a real big fan of the one I smoked either.
I have to concur. Not a favorite, and I may not even review it this month (unless of course I run out of other lances to smoke, which means I'm going to have to step up the pace!).

Dammit!!! Just picked one up the other day since I really enjoyed the robusto for the price. At least I can go into it prepared and have something on hand as backup

In my mind, the holy grail of petite lanceros. Flavors pop in and out with the likes of graham cracker, butterscotch and pecan pie. Hints of fresh squeezed orange, toasted marshmallow and coconut peek in through out. No relights necessary as I held this between my pea-pickers from start to finish.
I've smoked only but a handful of these and every time they are over-the-top awesome.

Hot damn that looks and sounds good!! I always pass on them due to the price but it sounds like I need to nut up and choose quality over quantity.

Tonight I set fire to the 262 Revere lancero. Pre light aroma was straight barnyard and it is finished with a nice little pigtail cap. After a quick snip with the cutter and getting hit with the torch I was off to the races. Excellent construction and burn. Delicious from start to finish. No major transitions, just delicious cocoa, leather, and spice with a hint of nutty creaminess from start to finger and lip burning nub. Mexican Coke with Sailor Jerry made the perfect pairing. Currently rating this in my top 5 lanceros (though admittedly I haven't had a ton).

These are good. Yes... See post 1 for a great review from Aloha Ryan.
My take on these is that they start off at Nestle Quick powder and slowly transition to cocoa powder. Much of a transition? Yes, it loses its sweetness and towards the ends becomes fuller more dark chocolate-y-er. Overall a great petite Lancero @6x38 which truth be told, I favor over a full length lance.
