  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Awesome job Jamie. Jamie is one of my smoking buddies and is the person whose opinion I respect the most when it comes to cigars. Everyone should check out his site.

I have one of these scheduled for breakfast tomorrow.
I usually try a new cigar right after breakfast with a fully clear palate so I get th full effect and flavor of the stick. This one may have been a little full for my AM ritual but nevertheless I fired it up. Great little stick. Easy to light and smooth easy draw. A cheroot it is. I can taste the ligero tingling my tastebuds. Great little smoke. Too small for the ligero to really kick me around but a nice little buzz. Its gonna be a long day.

I got a box of these from uncelnino. I told him I would let him know what I thought, so I decided to post it here. I am not much for reviews, but here is my take:

Just finnished a cheroot and I was pleasantly surprised. These things are small, ugly, and spotted like a leopard. However, dont be to hasty and judge this book by its cover. I was thinking it was going to be one dementional due to its billing of 100% ligero. I was sorely mistaken. The first third is somewhat mild with faint hints of caramel. The second third is a powerhouse of spice. Almost painful, yet cant put it down. Kind of like a shot of tequila without any lime or salt. Strong yet enjoyable. The last third calms down a bit but there are still some hints of spice and strong leather. If you are like me, you are going to think this thing is not going to do much. But after you smoke it, you will be amazed and sit there scratching your head in disbelief.

So everyone knows, due to the support of BOTL.org and its members, Hal (the owner) will be giving a discount to all BOTL members on future box purchases. I am not sure what the discount will be just yet, but will post once he tells me. I apologize to those who already bought and did not get to take advantage of this, but your fellow BOTL's can thank you for the discount that they will now be receiving. Thanks again everyone for the reviews and support, it makes a big difference to a smaller shop that is trying to make moves. We will have our website with ordering capability up in the next month or so....I will post when it launches. Thanks again.

Bought a cheroot from Dave this afternoon. I've been floundering about getting one the last time I was up at Empire. The damn things are UGLY. Bit the bullet today, and smoked it on the way home. Two words: Holy Crap. The little bastard was good, deceptively strong.
