Well I just got back from Las Vagas HAD to work at the New Hooters Casino and upgrading their Phone System. Or would that be H:inlove: :inlove:TERS. Oh well someone has to go might as well be me. When I called home to talk to my wife she told me to be good and there would be a bid surprise I wouldn't soon forget when I get home. Well since I'm at Hooters you know what I thought I was getting when I got home:wink: but not only did I get the usuall welcome back home 'honey" cha cha cha but also a new Haler 30 count Winecoolerdor. So bring on the boxes of cigars! We be smokin in 2006!

Really cool, dude! I have one, and it's the thing to have here in the summer, no more need to worry at all about temps. I had the beads in mine until a month ago and now I'm using an Oasis Plus...love it. Congrats! Oh Yeah, sorry about not getting the "right" welcome home...

Sweet! I've been curious about those. How many boxes can fit in one? I've heard that you need to keep something in there to keep the RH up because they cool by removing humidity. Is that the case? If it's easy to keep the RH stable I may have to check these out while I save pennies for my dream cabinet.

AZsteelman I did get both but one is a little too big for what I need. windowrx Yes you still have to humdify I think it isn't rerally a big deal. I'm going to store my 3 humidors complete with the beads until I figure everything out.

Just be sure to plug the drain hole in the rear or you'll lose every bit of humidity you put in it! With enough boxes, you won't need to add cedar. I'd still line the back wall with spanish cedar, because any condensation that occurs sets up there. Other than that, you can put a LOT of boxes in it. I have mine loaded and still keep a couple rows of wine in the top for kicks. Don't worry about it sucking up the humidity, if it did that under normal circumstances, it would dry out the corks on wine bottles. Mine is fine and has been for months. During the summer, I set it to it's warmest setting and ran a computer fan inside it to circulate the air, but that was just with the beads. Now I have the Oasis Plus and I don't think I'll run the fan with the cooling unit turned on...I love this thing!

Brian, depends on the boxes, but it holds plenty. I still have problem keeping my RH LOW enough, but it's not even close to being full so that's probably the reason.

I got it from a specialty wood shop just off I-10, I think around the Broadway exit or something like that, in Tempe or just barely in Phoenix. I'll look it up..

I'm pretty sure this is the place I got it....they do all sorts of cutting, ripping, anything you wanted. I had the 3/4" even split in half...very nicely done!

i love mine, a word of advice, you aren't really gaining anything by going with spanish cedar shelves. unless you have money you really want to burn, you can go to a lowes or home depot and get some black/grey/stainless steel custom closet shelves for about $10, and have them cut to size for free, then get the matching color rubber nubs to put on the ends of the shelving to protect the interior of your wine coolerdor. they work really well helping with ventilation and look pretty good.

I have had my Haier Winecoolerdor for almost 2 years and it works better than any other humi I ever had. I use 65% Beads in mine with out a problem. Here in Reno, you only have to have it plugged in in the summer and in the winter it is off. If you want ceder shelfs, just order the humi shelfs from BH and 2 will fit side to side per wine rack. And if you are looking for a easy fan source, I put a couple of Oust fans in at different locations and they work well. They are battery powered and run for a cycle of 5 min on and 15 off and they are only $6 a piece.
