I'd heard the same and asked about it on Oliva web site.
Got a nice note back from Jose Oliva saying Oct 15 is release date, but they are only putting out 50,000 cigars; and I thought the Series V were difficult to come by. Demand for these is going to be incredible. Will likely be worth the wait.

Update on these guys. They are supposed to start shipping TODAY. They should arrive at stores in the next few days. I stopped by the local's mother store 20 min away to get on the calling list for them. They're coming in 10ct boxes. I think the store said they're only getting like 100-200 cigars. Eagerly awaiting the call.
