I bit the bullet and bought my #1 dream car. It's a 1965 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. I drove 700 miles from Sunray Texas to Phoenix (Gilbert) Az. to pick it up. Took possession today. It's got a new Crate 350 mated to a 700R4 tranny, stock t case and axles with an ARB locker in the rear. I've wanted one of these since I was about 12 years old. I told my wife that it's my midlife crisis vehicle. Lol
I don't have a lot of pictures of it right now, but I'll post what I have.

The original straight six in these was actually an outdated Chevy motor that GM sold the rights to Toyota for in the late 50's. Solid motor, but only 135 horse. This is exactly how I would build one. It'll run 80 down the highway.

This ones not perfect, but it's a hell of a start. I'll have to put a heater in, windshield wipers, and finish the interior out. I think it could use a drop pitman arm to reduce the bump steer, but it's pretty close to being perfect IMO.
