  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

my understanding is that plume will be an all over and will start almost unnoticable from a direct stare. If you look down a plume covered stick from head to foot lengthwise, it becomes more noticeable. That has got to be mold since it is so prominent in just a few select spots. The mold should be fuzzy, and the plume is like tiny crystals. Dust that off, smoke the cigar and fix the storage conditions.

Am I right in thinking that plume is powdery and mold is fuzzy?

I have a few maduro sticks with a sort of fine white powder on them which seems to kind of brush off (though I wasn't very forceful with them). I've assumed this was plume...

Yeah, ye are. Mold is 3-D fuzz (cotton-candy-ish), while plume is a fine coat of cristals (they might even shimer with light). White does NOT mean plume, by the way.
