"QAnon and the plot to break reality. A year on from the Capitol Insurrection in Washington DC on 6 January 2021, Gabriel Gatehouse journeys into the dark undergrowth of modern America. He's looking for the origins of the story that drove the crowds to storm the heart of US democracy. From conspiracy-soaked barrooms in 1990s Arkansas, via spies in hotel rooms in the shadow of the Kremlin, to anarchic chatrooms on the early internet, this is a search for the answer to one big question: did this just happen, or is somebody trying to break reality?"

Great idea for a thread Mike!
Joe Rogan with Russell Brand. Dude talks kind of fast sometimes, but speaks some interesting truths. Great episode.

The bit about Cobalt mining in Congo gave me a thought. We already live in the Cyberpunk world. We just happen to be the company drones.

If his thoughts about the consequences of technology are interesting you might want to read Technopoly by Neil Postman. It is a much deeper dive in to the same philosophical idea.

"If you've ever yelled at someone on social media about, say, cancel culture or mask-wearing, then you are a soldier in the culture wars - those everyday battles for dominance between conflicting values. The acclaimed writer and podcaster Jon Ronson has seen friends swallowed up in them to the extent that it's ruined their lives. Jon was curious to learn how things fell apart, and so he went back into the history of the culture wars to find some of the origin stories: the pebbles thrown in the pond, creating the ripples that led us to where we are today. He had no idea what he'd find, but he's uncovered some extraordinary people and the strangest, yet most consequential tales."

Something a little different.
"This podcast series contains actual accounts of possession and other demonic activity from the case files and notes of Fr. Carlos Martins. To maintain anonymity for the victims and their families, he has changed the names of all involved as well as other details where there was a reasonable chance the victims or their families could be identified."

Cody Alford’s 15 year career in the U.S. Marines (Scout sniper & Raider) began in the early days of the Iraq war and the bloodiest battle - Fallujah. Cody explains the reality of war for conventional forces, the brutality of the enemy, and a battlefield out-of-body experience. Cody rose through the ranks making E8 the fastest in Marine Corps history.

Cody faced politics that drove him into the life of a nomad seeking the truth of self love and empowerment.
This episode gets deeply emotional. It is not easy to listen or watch when you hear the anger and pain in his voice talking about his first two deployments.
