  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Question for all my Tatuaje friends???

If this is about selling cigars, then don't do the fight. It's just not worth you reputation. Those kinds of things always go south fast!

What is the purpose of the event? Sell stogie's and get publicity?

I can come up with several idea's if that is the intention.

I'd say if you were not committed not to do it, but sometimes once things get started they take on a life of there own. Maybe you can add some class to this thing by making it a charity deal or something noble rather than petty. Either way your reputation will survive this just fine and your fans are very loyal to your brand. Looks like Tim has a lot more to gain out of this than you do and it seems about as real as WWF on the surface.

Whoa!
It makes no sense at all for this to have come to blows. Someone could actually get hurt, and we need both you and Tim operating at peak performance to whip this economic downturn: bring us your great products at as good a price as possible. There's a game we all win.

Now granted, you made a mistake: you shook hands on a deal and then backed out for whatever reason. Then you came to your senses and agreed to attend the event, which was a manly enough thing to do. "Yeah, I'll make good on that handshake."

But to attend the event as a boxing match? Mistake No. 2. Sure we're your customers and your fans. But is anyone who wants to see blood your friend?

You need that kind of friend?

So, don't make mistake No. 3. How to get out of it? That may take a degree of Wisdom and/or Showmanship that maybe only you can muster.

But good on ya for deciding to hold to your word and supporting Famous with your presence at their event.

You know what? Arm wrestling's pretty good, too. What you got under them tatoos, Man?

I am late chiming in on this but just wanted to add my comments.

Your cigars and their quality, consistency, flavor, and construction speak for themselves. I honestly don't believe there is anything you could do (short of something racist, etc) that would hurt your sales. There is some truth to the "any publicity is good publicity" idea, especially when it benefits charity. With the buzz from the Regio and Noella Reservas and the upcoming Verite, plus the cabinet release of the La Riquezas your brand is white hot. This release of the Noella Reserva was in my top five cigars ever, with the Regio close behind. Rely on your product to drive its own sales and don't worry about this event being harmful in any way. Keep up the good work bro, you continue to amaze.

I say go and have a good time and enjoy having the opportunity to do something different.....and knock his ass out.

Pete... if you have not commited to the fight then dont do it. it possibly could hurt your company's image.

If you have committed... then at this point I would go ahead and do it. It wouldn't look good to back out.

BUT... if you go ahead with the fight it's all about how it is staged. I WOULD NOT stage this as just a promo for both brands. It needs to be staged as a fun-spirited charity event for a good cause. its a win/win. you make some money for the needy and uphold the great reputation that your brand has earned.

Sometimes it helps to read the previous posts in a thread. ALL of the points above were hashed out numerous times. That is all.

Cheers

Does anyone know if this is going to be like a normal Tat event
(discounts, swag packs etc) or is this strictly a fight and signing? I was wondering because I was thinking about heading out.... Anyone else going??
