One thing I noticed about the world when I was on paid/forced international travel is that countries that aren't financial super powers tend to allow smoking indoors still. When I left Turkey in 2008 they were just getting around to banning smoking in public transportation and govt buildings. I'm sure to appease the EU in hopes of gaining membership.

Sounds great!! I remember my first trip to Europe, it was Germany for two weeks in 2007. I always remember hearing about how much the Euros smoke, cigs everywhere, etc....much to my surprise Germany banned smoking indoors...and it apparently wasn't too long before my trip.

sounds like you had a great time. think the only reason we cant get that stateside is cause us cigar smokers get lumpped in with cigarette smokers. oh well here's dreaming that someday things will change.
