Looking to try a different Scotch, would like some ideas. What I like are the single barrell scothes. My favorite is glenlivet 18. Just finished the Signet I was gifted and it rocked.

One of the best "go to's" in my opinion is Balvenie Double Wood and it won't cost you an arm and a leg either!

I Agree with Larry the double wood is a great scotch. Balvenie also makes a 15 year old single barrel, I believe they are numbered batches as well.

One of my recent favorites in Bunnahabhain. It's from Islay, but is very lightly peated. It is also non-chill filtered, and has no color added. If you are looking for something different, Bunnahabhain is definitely different.

I love most by Balvenie too. The Port Wood is awesome I had a bottle that was aged in rum barrels.

I had the 15 single barrel last year and thought man have I been missing out on one hell of a scotch!

Just finished some balvenie caribbean cask 14 year tonight; awesome!!!!
+1...

Although the next 2 bottles of Balvenie that I purchase will be the 15 yr single barrel and the 21 yr Portwood. Still got a few other bottles to work through first, but Balvenie is getting higher on my list of favorites.

Curious how the Highland Park 18 will stack up!

The Rum Barrels are the Balvenie Caribbean Cask . I have not had that yet, but since I love rum, I am sure I would love it.

It is going to be hard to beat the Port Wood though.
I'm leaning toward the Caribbean Cask over the Port... but the jury is still out. I'm going to need to do more research. :bottle::bottle::bottle:
