nice! That's actually a bike I have considered getting after gettin a house and back on my feet, hows it ride?
Not even sure how to answer that. I mean, it doesn't ride like the Street Glide, you don't get the awesome rumble at stop lights7 nor do you have the sound.
The VTX rides very well IMHO, it's strong, stable, balanced well albeit a bit heavy, and has all the power you'll need. I did put new shocks on the rear (Progressive) to lower the rear end and new fork springs in as well (Progressive) as I thought the front end dipped a bit to much with a good hand full of front brake. I also added an Ultimate X seat, made out of Canada, they also make seats for HD, Suzi, Yama...it is by far the most comfortable seat on the planet. Not saying that just because I own one, just matter of fact. I've had several 800+ mile days on it and never had an ounce of sore ass. I ride the shit out of my bike and ride it hard, it's solid trustworthy. I'd buy another. In addition, there's a ton of aftermarket stuff for it and a very nice web forum with just buckets of information on the bike from tire to tire.
