  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Let's see what you crafty gentlemen call a home bar. Soon, my first humidor will replace the wine box on the bottom left, but for now, here she is...

Cabinet above the fridge works fine and dandy for me. I'm the only person ever in my apartment.

Cool thread idea. Here's what's around the apartment. Can't wait to get a house in March/April and dedicate a large room solely to alcohol, tobacco and firearms.

Though I might reconsider keeping alcohol and firearms in the same room together.

ipad takes terrible photos, so sorry for the quality:

latest bookshelf picture:

about 30 bottles in the Balvenie collection... have almost every non-Vintage and non-ultra expensive bottle from the last 10 years (i.e. <$300)... missing about 5 or so which I'll hunt down eventually.

around 15 to 18 bottles open... half are Balvenie the rest are mixed.

about another 10 to 12 or so of various unopened held for random mood swings and or future resale (this is where a lot of my islays sit)

I could probably count from the pic (although some are hidden), but probably around 60 bottles in total on the shelves. if you have time, there are some great photo threads at the whisky mag forums, the www forums, and I guess the still room is back open. one of my favorite photos is a guy who turned an entire wall in his basement into shelves... they are full of bottles, and the best part - they are all open! kudos to him. I lack the testicular fortitude to break some of these seals...

Here's a pic of my basement rack from a few months back, rack is a lot more full now from about 2 1/2 cases of wine bought over the holidays and there's a few more bottles of scotch and bourbon. Coolidor to the right is pretty much full with boxes, Diamond Crown 90ct is on the rack holding the longer and rarer sticks.

I hate all of you. Haha. My collection is basically 2 bottles of Knob Creek Single Barrel, 1 makers 46, one bottle of cheap scotch, I handle of cuervo(nasty) and about half a dozen "good" four lokos.

I guess I'll take pics of all my booze stashes. I have two more stashes besides what's pictured but they're 100miles away. I hid beer from myself at the inlaws and my parents houses so I can age longer and drink it less. All the beer cases are basically full of homebrew. My beer fridge is also full with a couple cases sitting around in my cold garage. We're prepped for anything that would cause an alcohol shortage. Plus I hate running out of something to drink after the stores are closed.

In this picture you can see there are a few fermentors. The two stainless steel ones have about 8 gal each that are in the bottom of the picture. You can only see the tops. Then the some what clear one on the middle shelf is a sour blond ale. Then the top you can only really see one, but there's a imperial stout and a sour brown ale quietly sitting behind. There's also about four cases of wine on the rack. Some of it is homemade wine that's actually not bad but I won't be making any more wine. It's just not my thing.

Here you're looking at 12 cases of beer.
