I have done quite a few bottles of these from various years. I tend to like this beer with about 18 months of age on them. More and they lose the vanilla note I love so much. IMHO

He said this is what I have how much ya want
I said all of it
What is it?
Bourbon county stout from goose island. Best stout I've ever had and is credited as one of the first bourbon barrel aged beers in the US. Comes out every October and yes usually gone by November. The store I frequent got a good amount of it but it wasnt flying off the shelves. This was the last case. I'm gonna try to make it last ti next year. I heard annheuser I believe bought goose island AND goose islands master brewer left so I am not sure what next years batch will be like.
I'd seriously have to send them away to not drink them for 18 months but I'm trying.
or just "Flash Age" :)
i.e. picked up a fresh 4pack and promptly poured me 4oz's (lotsa meh upfront barrel and bourbon predom. flavors)... tefloned the cap back on and fridged bottle..
FF 24hrs - morphed it into a monstrous choc milkshake with notes of barrel and bourbon firmly on the finish...
fukin slightly ox'ed BCBS blew me away !

Epic SMWS Haul!

L to R is Dailuaine, Cragganmore, and PORT MOTHERFUCKING CHARLOTTE!!!!!! I am so saturated by the amped-up flavors of SMWS whisky I don't even buy my favorite distilleries in the store anymore. Instead I wait for Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Bruichalddich/Port Charlotte and Macallan to release epic one-offs via SMWS! The Port Charlotte in the pic is 131.4 proof and tastes as smooth as 70pf.

The Oban and Glenliviet are phenomenal! Have yet to bust open the Aberlour.

The port was bottled in 2008, had dust coating it. See how this turns out. PHC is the Master Distiller's Edition and Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch 2011.

Just some 2013 BigFoot, 2012 Black Chocolate Stout and a few Vertical Epic 12's. Along with some random beers to even it out.
