  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So what'cha readin'???

I usually have a couple going at the same time. ADD and all.

2666 by Roberto Bolano.
Velvet Glove, Iron Fist by Christopher Snowden (a history of the anti-smoking "movement")
and, as always, the most recent issue of Hemmings.

Liberty and Tyranny: A conservative Manifesto by Mark Levine, also reading Archimedes to Hawking: Laws of Science and the Great Minds Behind Them by Clifford Pickover. I have The Black Hole War: My Battle with Stephen Hawking to Make the World Safe for Quantum Mechanics by Leonard Susskind waiting for me next.

The story of how Billy Beane makes the A's semi decent on no money. Was supposed to be a movie with Brad Pitt playing Billy Beane, but the A's never did anything that would be a good ending. (Rough times as I'm an A's/Raiders/Warriors fan)
