So with the help of watching all the awesome work that some of the vets around here do in the pipe restoration world (among other really talented things) I have been secretly trying my hand at pipe restoration with the hope of restoring a few of my great grandfathers pipes eventually. Well that day has come and I just finished those two pipes! And since my Secret Santa also sent me a pipe to finish a resto on I figured I better start posting pics and talking about it. So here goes ....
This is the restoration that I finished up on My Secret Santa pipe.

Reamed the bowl a little bit and gave her two salt treatments. Put the stem in an OxyClean bath then Mr Clean Magic Eraser for oxidation. Then sanded it with some finishing wool. Reassembled and then hit the bench polisher with white diamond then a coat of carnuba. Thanks again Santa this pipe is sweet!
