  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Here's my thoughts on a schedule...

10 am: Just for Him :waving:.
12 pmish: Lunch (Springfield Brewing Co??)
2 pm: Tour Mothers Brewery (conveniently located just down the street from SBC :thinkidea).
3 pm: Not sure how long the tour takes, but I figured an hour :dunno:. Return to Just for Him for another cigar...or two.

Feel free to suggest alternative times/locals for lunch.

Schedule looks good to me!
Lunch - Skybox in our center area has an outdoor patio now if the weather is nice
There is an outdoor area at Mothers that sucks people in generally for more than an hour as well

Bob, don't forget, you have to do the beer sampler, if we go to SBC!! Some good stuff, there, too!!

I'll have to remember my growler, for Mother's!

Wait... I do see one issue, there... Where's "Andy's Custard" on that schedule??

And don't forget a swing by the big Brown Derby to see about their brew selection.

Oh, and the homebrew store...

And the... oh, nevermind.

I am definitely in. I'll be taking the day off and driving up on Friday. I may need a ride from the Doubletree on Saturday. My Son and his friend are attending some kind of convention so I may have to leave my car at the hotel for him to use. We're still working the logistics so more to come on that. This is going to be great.

Hey, Dan... I know you probably will just have breakfast at the hotel, but if you want to check it out... there's a great breakfast spot downtown called "Gailey's Breakfast Cafe". It's a unique little place that has some great offerings. If my family is ever there in the morning, I love to hit this place.

Here's a link with map & stuff: Gailey's Breakfast Cafe

EDIT: Okay, after looking over the Urbanspoon reviews, apparently most people have had a horrible experience as far as service, and wait time. Sorry... I guess we've never had that many issues. So, maybe not so much with Gailey's, for you! LOL

Ok, as far as now goes it is pretty much 95% that myself and Kmulkey will be driving up the 17th, staying the night and then heading back sometime later on the 18th. I still have to check on a few things, but I am pretty damn sure we are there.

Quick question, does the brewery tour have a cost? I figure since he is driving the 5 hour drive, that I should pay for his tour. Haha

It's a small, hometown brewery, so there is no cost!! (I don't think.) They even have free sampling of all their tapped beers, and you can purchase a pint to sit and enjoy. Also, they sell growlers! Soo... bring your cooler, too!! Looking very forward to meeting you all!

Oh, but be sure to bring plenty of money to spend at Just for Him!

I'm planning on making the morning smoke at JFH. I have a band rehearsal from 12-4, but it would be good to meet you guys.

Oh, and as for Gailey's - sometimes the service is slow and there can be a wait, but damn it's good breakfast!
