BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

We just got the frost out of the ground a few weeks ago.
Bob, just grilled some today with steaks.
Got that right!!! Nothing is better than some corn hot off the grill!
How about a spicy garlic butter for your sweet corn?
2 softened sticks of butter
6 peeled garlic cloves
1/4 of a habenero (or a whole jalapeno)
2 tablespoons of rough chopped chives
Salt and pepper to taste
toss it all in a food processor until smooth, scrape it into a container then toss it in the fridge so it's ready when you want it.
Add a little zing with some fresh squeezed lime and ta-daa... you'll spend the whole night trying to convince your friends that you are NOT Martha Stewart.

How long of a soak, how long on the grill? We just usually boil ours on the stove top.
You'll never boil again once you start tossing them on the grill.
10 minute soak if you leave them in the husk (so they don't catch on fire) 3 minutes on all four sides (12 total) and you're done.
You can also get 'em naked and wrap them in foil with some butter squares and salt and they'll be just as tasty.

i know they grow everything all the time in cali, but there is NOTHING like good old first of the season MIDWEST corn!!
