I've smoked just one T52 toro out of my recent purchase, and within a week or so I've smoked 3 of the Liga #9 Toro.

To my palate, there is a significant difference between the two. The T52 is substantially spicier and stronger than the #9. By comparison, the #9 seems lackluster.

I read a few reviews that pegged the T52 as milder, so I thought I'd see what others have noticed.

(Yeah, I know....Everyone has different tastes, but thought this would be interesting to see what a poll would reveal)

Thanks for your input!

To me they are fairly similar. The #9 is a little more rough around the edges and the T52 is more refined and balanced. I love both but the #9 has a little more power and the T52 is a little more subtle and nuanced.

Like both......t-52 seems to have more finesse than the #9. Really depends on my mood which one I'll smoke.

Ive only had 2 T52's and both seemed a bit stronger than the #9. While I find both to be full flavored I think in body the #9 is closer to medium whereas the T52 is more on the full end of the spectrum.

+1

I still think that the T52 is a bit "bigger" of a smoke, but neither are harsh. My first LP was a #9 "pig" and it was incredible. My first T52 was the robusto, so maybe my experiences have been shaped by size as well.

I am about to revisit #9 pig before T52 comes out and I have some T52 Toros on the way. I will share my experinces this weekend with the pig.

To me, the T52 is much stronger of a smoke than the No. 9. The first few puffs of a T52 is all spice and pepper and it's a kick to the back of the throat.

Both are wonderful cigars, well worth the money that everyone should try. But -- like most -- I'll have to give the nod to the T52.

I think they're both top notch, but generally have found the T52 to be a little stronger. My preference is for the #9. I get many of the same flavors from both the T52 and the #9 so I don't find the added strength of the T52 to be all that important. That said, I do enjoy both .

Tim from Burning Leaf hooked me up with a few toro's of each (the T52 and the No. 9) which I am eagerly awaiting.

From what I gather, though, I'll have to eat a nice big meal beforehand. They both sound like real powerhouses.

Just smoked a no9. Good unique flavors. Wouldn't say it's real strong, not as strong/heavy as the tat cojonu.
Haven't had any of the 5 t52s I have yet.

My impressions:

T52 - Much more Spicey, Brighter and Stronger than the LP#9.

LP#9 - Rounder than T52, with a bold Nicaraguan Earth core.

JD4 - Combination of T52 and LP#9, but stepped up a notch in strength, like a jacked up Rat.

Best,
JD
