OK, I know this question has been answered many times. I think I have aquired OCD and I NEED TO KNOW MY RH, to a precise degree.

I want to know what the absolute most precise hygrometer there is on the market. Oh, and it has to be small. Money is no object, unless it is expensive

ok, here is your answer. do a search for the Extech recalibratable hygrometer with salt test kit. it must have the salt test kit. about $100. be warned, it has a short battery life, about 4 or 5 days. But if you must have the most accurate, this is the one.

My BM guy said DC was tested and is the most accurate on the market. I bet you could order those on line.

A hygro is as accurate as the salt test tells it is. Even the best tend to trail off a bit in the accuracy category after time. Just make sure to get beads, and test it monthly if you really need to know that bad. I understand the OCD brother.

I use a little havana and an oregon scientific remote unit and both work great.

I say use a boveda pack and find out if your hygro is off...

Unless you want to spend an obscene amount (and I assume you don't), just pick one that's "good" and test it every few months so you know exactly where you are at.

When I recently tested my hygros with a Boveda pack my Diamond Crown was the only one that was spot on...the batteries last the longest as well.
