  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Thoughts on Tatuaje...?

I have to say that I'm absolutely loving Tatuaje cigars lately.

The Cojonu & J21's are amongst my favorites, the Cazadores, Havannas, East & West Coasts, La Riquezas, Cabaiguans....

I jumped on the opportunity last week at NHC to get some Hermosos, swag & 3-pack of Blacks.

I got it yesterday - fast & packed tight as always! I broke out the best smoking red I've ever had & late last night I put fire to my first 'Black'.
I was so thrilled!!! (And broke.)

Yes - that stick is amazing, everything Pete & Pepin touches seems to be.

A couple of comparrisons/ observations:

Two cigars that really stand out to me:

- Spanish Galleon Corojo from Atlantic Cigar: This tastes identical to the Cabinet Selection line (Brown tat) - freekishly... And at about a 1/3 of the cost. ($18/fiver)
- Graycliff Double Esspresso: I think this & the Tat Black are strikingly similar in taste. Here's the thing - every so often you can pick up fivers of the Double Espresso's for $35 at Cigars International... That's $7/ea!

If you're on a budget, or like me (not on a budget & should be)...
And you love the Tatuaje like I love 'em...
These are some great alternatives...

Any thoughts??

I'd be real curious to try out those 2 other brands you mention just to taste the comparison, expecially that spanish one.

I've got a Reserva SW thaqt i'm gonna fire up tonight...kind of an early celebration of the Buckeyes big win tomorrow on the grid iron.

GO BUCKS!!!

I love the Tatuaje Havana VI. A couple boxes of the Nobles and a couple boxes of the Artistas and I’d be a happy man!

Reserves SW's were pretty tastey. I had some burn problems with them, but tastey none the less.

I'm looking forward to trying a - La Riqueza.

I forgot about those. Looking forward to trying them myself. Maybe the No. 2 or No. 4 sizes.
Someone needs to tell Pete to stop naming his cigars such crazy names. I understand he brought back to life this brand, but still.

Under the name of the brand, on the box, he needs to add the phonetic way to pronounce his brands. :]

I'm going to have to try out the Spanish Galleon Corojo for shits & giggles. Now the only problem is if word gets around that they are similar, Lew Rothman might pick them up and sell them as JR alternatives.:rolling:

OK.. I lied.. The Tatuaje's are horrible. Don't buy them. If you already have, send them to me, so that I can destroy them! :innocent: If you smoke one, you will suffer from a major affliction, known in the medical profession and Tatuajitus! It is a critical condition that makes the victim suffer from sever withdrawls. Another side effect is, Whoritus!

The only cure is to send all of your Tatuaje products to me for complete and total destruction!

One at a time!
