  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This was in Denton. I didn’t expect this type of store to be in Denton “bargain beverage” . Oddly they have a super good sub there like it’s a big deal for the construction fellas. This is how I found it I just hadn’t ever been through the actual liquor store

image.jpgI like this more than I thought I would. Gonna dabble a bit more with rye but this could end up living in the cabinet

Any affordable rye suggestions?

I did find the bottle of makers keepers 25 but they wanted 100 so I left it there. I love makers but hog said it wasn’t the best makers out there so I certainly will not put 100 into it

bookers was 100$. Little book was 200$.
Never tried either but one day I might grab a bookers. What’s the overall opinion on the bookers !??

Jake, I haven't opened the latest Booker's (25-02) yet, so I can't speak to it.

The newest Little Book uses brown rice in the mash bill. They used it in Chapter 4, and I wasn't a fan.

My favorite ryes are the 10 year Whistlepig single barrels at this point. Sazerac is a lot cheaper, but you get what you pay for?

I like the JD single barrel barrel proof rye that you can get for $50 and change when there's a sale.
Good suggestion for a tasty and affordable rye.
