Boulevardier, a Negroni variation.

2 oz Old Overholt Rye
3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth (I used Carpano Antica)
3/4 oz Campari

Chill coup glass, mix ingredients, stir with ice, strain into chilled glass. Garnish with orange peel. The smokey, mustiness of the Old Overholt works beautifully in this drink.

Very Old Barton Bottled-in-Bond in an Old Fashioned. This one is singing to me tonight. One of the best bourbons (quality to price ratios) out there. In fact if you have not loaded up on the bottled-in-bonds like Heaven Hills, Very Old Barton, Old Fitzgerald, Taylor's Small Batch you are missing some great bourbons. Save your sippers to sip and mix your cocktails with these. They should be staples in any collection of whiskey.
