"Orc Blood" cherry/raspberry/black Currant melomel mead aged in a rye whiskey barrel for one month. Approx 13.65%ABV
On the drier side with balanced tartness & sweetness. Good fruit. Some nice rye oak spice in the mid palate. Happy with the result, but also excited what further aging will do

Props. A few of my buddies in college were fermentation sciences majors and they made great beer. They tried to make mead once and it was disgusting haha they seriously effed it up.
I find that hilarious since it is so much easier to make than beer - just takes longer
