I am having this very dilemma now between the Hup 46 and Hoy Ep #2, only experience is with Ep Esp.

The box plunge is scary lol. Seems to be a definitive preference of the Upmann’s here.

I'm gonna be the oddball here and say Hoyo all day. So far, the Epi 2 has blown me away and the Palmas Extras have been a surprisingly good cheapie, where the Mag 46 was a total disappointment ROTT (and I usually enjoy a smoke ROTT), and the other Upmanns have been good but not great, save for maybe a few HUHC but even those have been inconsistent for me.

I'll guess I'll head over to my go-to vendor now, to try a few more of both...

I’ve got ‘99 Short Hoyo Coronas and ‘00 Hoyo Churchill’s that are amazing. I’ll take Hoyo!!!

I like my Hoyo Palmas better than the similar Upman Regalias but I like the Upman Mag 46 better than my Hoyo EP#2. Honestly though I like selection so I'd probably split.

Upmann 100%

Fresh-2 years: Mangum 50’s (2015-2017 where stupid good fresh)

2 years-5 years: Connie A’s and No.2

5 years-8 years: Connie No. 1 and Half Coronas (to be fair the 2013-2014 Half Coronas took FOREVER to get good and the new-er years are great faster)

8 years-and up: Magnum 46 and sir winnies (I’m not sure there is a better cigar than an aged mag 46)

All that being said a HDM epicure deluxe with a few years is almost as rich as a well blended Upmann and deserves some credit

Obviously all subjective and IMHO aka worthless lol
