  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I didn't really say there was anything wrong with Padilla but at the same time it's seriously hokey to produce a 2006 limitada or whatever they do for FOUR YEARS! Or resurrect a cigar they made in the past under the guise of it being the same cigar for CI.

Long live the small batch cigars! Just think of all the small batches that are from super small companies that aren't selling in the US. Or the personal blends all these manufacturers have......

Guys one thing is to do a limited cigar because of the tobacco, like Pete and his monster series.

Its another thing to be constatly bringing out a limited cigar, one after the other. This to me is a gimick. Especially when the cigar has a 1.5" shaggy foot.
The thing is until a large majority of the buying public feel this way the cigars will continue to sell. Small batch limited stuff is what people go crazy for just like with any other luxury product. Whether its scotch, wine, or even beers people go nuts trying to get something that the odds are not in their favor of experiencing.

In this case, the product is worth paying a premium for. Plus not all of the Viaje line is limit run.

Don't take my comments the wrong way I love Viaje cigars. I smoke the Platino line regularly and was enjoying Exclusivo robustos from the jar. They make good smokes and more power to them if marketing like this works.

I hear ya!
Awesome that there is so much marketing creativity with the limited releases so far.
I actually think that the TNT borders on being too comical to be taken seriously. However....Based on experience, I will get some, because history says that they will be great.
