Just wondering but changing the stem on your pipe, does it change how it smokes or is more for looks?

Switching to a churchwarden stem does change it a little. Longer stem allows the smoke to cool some.

Yeah crazy nice collection brother. I'll get some better photos of my grandfathers pipes that were just passed down to me. Still need to clean them up.

Yup, that's the stuff! Like the newbie i am, I missed it in my search. Should probably be a sticky though! (Truth be told, I thought you meant restoring like filling chips/cracks, restoring finishes, etc.)
