BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Sorry to hear about this Jed. I've gone through a similar situation and have empathy for your situation. Thankfully my wife and I decided to ultimately reconcile but I understand that that does not always happen. I'll be praying that everything works out for the best for you and your family no matter what the final outcome.
Not sure where your farm is but I do get to Iowa on a fairly regular basis since my daughter went to school on Ames and decided to stay. (She currently lives in Des Moines near the Drake campus) I also do a fair amount of business across the state from Newton to Cedar Rapids to Waterloo to mason city and over to Sioux city. ( Des Moines as well). Send me a PM with your info and maybe we can get together sometime on the next couple of months for a smoke.

I will be in winterset but dsm is a 30 min drive (no biggie) my dad is drake alumni so I'm very familiar with the area

I remember when my ex-wife and I first separated. On any given day, I felt three different ways:
1. We would get back together and that made me happy
2. We would not get back together and that made me sad
3. We would not get back together and that made me happy
Number 3 was kind of rare in the early days but once that started to be the prevailing thought/emotion, I knew I had picked myself back up.

I'm sorry to hear what your going through brother. With that being said you sound like you have a great outlook on life and you'll turn up just fine. As a great man once said " life's a garden, dig it."
Sorry to hear brother.... It's good that you two have decided to be civil for the sake of the kids, but make sure you get a damn good attorney. Seen too many people burned by being too civil. That sucks bro, but it sounds like you've got a good perspective on it. Just hang in there and ask for help when you need it. We're still going to be here when you have time and access. It gets better.
