He was a local guy and could play the guitar. Another local great that took his own life also was Danny Gatton. The other "Greatest Unknown Guitarist in the World"

The guy really was one of a kind. The stuff you can see on You tube doesn't do him justice at all.
I was fortunate enough to see him many times because he lived in Southern Maryland and played this region.
Went to a concert at Warner Theater in D.C. many moons ago that featured Johnny Winter with Roy Buchanan opening. No mention of a third band.
The curtain rose and Danny Gatton was there to start the show. What a night!
