What is your favorite RG?

+1. I think around 46 usually has a perfect wrapper to filler/binder ratio. Much bigger and you lose the wrapper, and much smaller and it takes a lot of babying to smoke properly. That said, I LOVE a 38 or a 42, just have to be in the mood for it. Same goes for the larger ring gauges. Just has to work for the particular blend.

I voted 46. For an everyday type of smoke I like the thinner ring guages.

It's been said on here that most of the new and limited releases are in larger formats. To me this is not entirely inappropriate. For special occasion smokes or smokes that cost significantly more than 3-7 dollars, it is nice to have a big fat 90 minute smoke. Almost all of my box purchases have less than 50 rg but I don't mind something like the TNT for when I have the time.

Another determining factor is the quality of the filler. If the filler is sub par, a 54-60 rg is going to flavorless compared to a smaller rg.

I used to be 50-54 but as I have started smoking better cigars I have gotten into the larger coronas and churchills lately so I would have to say 46 - 50

I like the smaller ring gauges by far. I do not mind the larger ring gauge at time but 52 is about my limit unless it is tapered. 44-46 is my real sweet spot minus the 38 for the lanceros. So I guess I am all over the map just depends on the smoke.

don't have a favorite. some sticks are better in a thin rg ,some in a large. whatever produces the best flavor for that particular cigar.

Love the pigs and lanceros, and almost everything in between.

My sweet spot is in the Robusto-Toro area.
