65% beads. No need for a hygrometer, but I have a $10 digital that I move from humi to humi once in a while just for shits and giggles.

I use 3 different digitals one for each shelf. I use the humicare adaptable versions. They work well!

Some cheapo Walmart one. I trust my beads a lot, but I still like knowing if the humidity is fluctuating or not.

Digital as well as an Oasis XL and beads in a Trivoli cabinet. Oasis is used for recovery from opening (set to 68%) and rearanging. Beads (65%) are used to absorb excess humidity and to act as a fail-safe in case I forget to check my Oasis. Digital is to make sure both are doing their job. It might be overkill but I've never had a problem since sealing the glass on the doors.

Wait a minute...Beads absorb excess humidity? So if you have a 2nd Solution humidifier and it put out a little too much humidity the beads help regulate the extra humidity? Do I have that right?
