The newer Falcon bits are removable. Older ones are not.
When you get a chance take a small drill bit or torch tip cleaner and start poking.

Torch tip cleaners. I use them all the time at work. Never considered using a set for pipes!

No help at all. It came naked, and has darkened over time & use. I think that most of the coloring that we see on naked/virgin briar comes from the natural oils & dirt that's on our hands.
