The sickest stick man in the game. IMO.

For the record, I am in complete agreement with the following drummer is being on this list:

Bonham
Peart
Bozzio
Copeland
Danny Carry
Dave Lombardo
Carter B

But where is Matt Chamberlain, or Clyde Stubblefield? Royster Jr?

What about Lloyd Knibb, the originator of Jamaican drumming, and one of the best players to apply Buru/Nyabingi to the drum set. I'm sorry, but while good players, the likes of Nicko McBrain and Vinnie Paul don't really belong on this list... they aren't original, nor do they shine in any one way or technique.

Let's not forget Joe Morello. Dave Brubecks drummer in the late 50's to 60's. "Take Five". He was partially blind as well. He did some unbelievable stuff without sticks. Playing with his hands.
I played the drums for years, and all the drummers you guys have listed, I love damn near all of em. But no list is complete without Morello.
Look him up on you tube. If you're into drums, you'll be blown away.

So I checked back in today with the names that came to me- most were mentioned. Beauford (sp), chamberlain was the MAN for the pumpkins, and tony Williams.

I can't believe no one has mentioned keith moon. Not really a who fan but I have to give credit where it's due.

Mickey hart.

Yup, Keith Moon. I'm a Dead Head, so Hart is in there. Billy K too. Plus sessions drummer, Matt chamberlain. And an obscure one is Joan Armatrading's drummer from the 70's Dave Mattacks. Ringo Starr developed into quite the drummer as well. It took time...but yeah, he's worthy.

Was watching 60 minutes and they had Dave Grohl on. During the interview they said he is one of the best drummers in music. I know the drummer is sometime an unknown (I only know Travis Barker and Lars) I know we got drummers here so who are some of the best??
Dave Grohl? Please, he's not even the best drummer in Foo Fighters!

Thx for putting that up Joel.

Let's not forget too that Morello is partially blind. Which makes it all the more amazing.
