  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

For future reference you can just snake wires through the drain hole then seal around them after, keeps you from having to put another hole in the box. Just my 2 cents. looks great!

Ok, I have some water build up . No fans, drain hole not plugged. I have sticks and Cheaphumidors.com trays for now. Any Ideas why and how to remedy this. Also I don't have any humidification and the calibrated hygrometers read 70-72. Unit is plugged in and temp is 66.

I think the added fans Are over kill... I never plugged the drain hole, I'm using cedar try's right now been for years never pulled the trigger for drawer as much as I would like them... And I was using heartfelt for years until one day I dropped them on the floor and I switched to the clay beads spread out of the top middle and bottom and haven't looked back since ... Mine holds perfect at 66 just like I like it...
I hate your luck.

I hate your luck too.

I would make sure the drain hole isn't plugged with anything and make sure it does drain. Even with water in there your RH is still good and I hate you even more. haha Jerks!

This may be a dumb question. since I've had the wineador, the humidity has been 70-72 without any humidification medium. Just got some 65% heartfelt beads. My question is do I have to "activate" them before they'll start regulating the humidity? I put them in dry to see if the humidity level would drop. It hasn't in the last 24 hours.

Also, since the humidity has been high I've been storing some in my desktop to smoke. They've been a lil bitter. One was a four kicks(first time) and the other was a regular smoke for me. It's been holding at 68% and I don't think that would cause bitterness, would it?

Nope. Just give it time. Heartfelt beads ship ready to go. Even though they all feel dry, clear ones are holding water, white ones are dry. If they are mostly clear it may take a little while for it to start bringing the RH down, but they will. If you don't see a lot of white beads,You may want to keep then out of the Humi for a day or two to dry them out a bit and "make room" to pull some moisture out of your 'dor
