rules - let's make it little more difficult - limit it to your top 5 of any genre (see the movie "High Fidelity" if you need the reason). No greatest hits or compilation albums - must be original material. If you want to also include one greatest hits/live/compilation album go for it.

Here's mine - no order:

"Wish You Were Here" - Pink Floyd
"Blue Train" - John Coltrane
"Glassworks" - Philip Glass
"Buckingham Nicks" - Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks
"What's Going on?" - Marvin Gaye

greatest hits/live/compilation album: "Dream Sequence" - Tangerine Dream.

1. Licensed to Ill - Beastie Boys
2. American Tragedy - Hollywood Undead
3. The Heist - Macklemore
4. Swan Songs - H.U.
5. The Marshall Mathers LP - Eminem

There's probably a dozen more that are all tied with the above, but I kept it to five.

I know - that's the point. We play "Top 5 songs/albums having to do with ..." where I DJ and make up stupid categories similar to the movie "High Fidelity". It's a lot of fun. A lot of times I can base a whole hour or two show on the responses. I tried to stick with the ones I play most often or have the most significance to me.

Pantera-Vulgar display of power

Rancid-....and out come the wolves

Killswitch Engage-the end of heartache

Metallica-Black album (my first rock cd)

Shadows Fall-the war within

No order there. And they could change. But all of those I could listen to, start to finish.

Saw Muddy live in 1972. Opened for Allman Brothers. Hell of a show.
