It was after his failed stint on Jive, but before the true fame hit with Devil Without A Cause. It was a second underground phase.

I had a friend that lived in Detroit during the mid to late 1990s. He sent me a copy of EMSP with the note, "this guy will be huge in the next five years." He was right. He also sent me a copy of the Fire It Up ep with I am the Bull God.

I also had a few Esham cds before my whole collection and car audio system was stolen.
