  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Zune!!!!

There are also programs to change those oddly named files back to normal. Google should help out there

Yup, lotsa freeware out there for renaming MP3s based on the ID3 tag data and vice versa. But if you use a music management program (like iTunes), that might not be necessary.

Well if Person A uses itunes and brings their ipod to person B. Person B can pull songs off the ipod and use that software to rename them on person B's computer

Yup, assuming the songs are MP3s and not iTunes purchases (there are other ways for that).
But if Person B is using iTunes on their computer they won't have to rename anything as iTunes will read in the ID3 tags and display that info. It'll even rename them for you (if there is ID3 tag info).
You have to choose the option to let iTunes manage your library.
