Bingo! I was trying to put a label on that flavor, but couldn't...charred meat is perfect.Wow, i'm really glad you said charred meat. every time i smoke this cigar i think meaty but feel stupid for saying so.
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

+1 I agree. The first S&B Red release were pretty good,....then the new ones were just weird,....Based on price paid and expectations Id have to say the Viaje Little Boy was the worst for me. I smoked worse cigars but they were significantly cheaper, for the money spent that one was the worst. I really enjoyed the first S&B red release too so it was really odd how much I disliked the LB.
Those have to be a Gurkha.Surrogates all day. Just a huge letdown in every single way for me.
Beef jerkiesh for sure, but I love them!Though I'm with you on loving them, I'm not surprised that some people disliked them--they have a very unique flavor! REALLY dirty, charred meat, and some sweet cocoa, and more dirt. It's not for everyone.
The first one I had I was like "wow, that's different, I don't know...". But they have grown into a favorite, especially the spicy corona!
This for me as well including the Fausto (Although I love the Avion...wierd!). I tried alot of stinkers this year in the Boutique market, to many to recall but seeing how I'm usually a Tat lover these really stood out as my dissapointment. While not really bad, the tat la casita criola and wolfman were both disappointing.
Sorry to hear about all of those.Worst of the year for me....I had a tat black tubo that was just void of taste. Wasn't horrible, but I had saved it for a nice outdoor occasion. I also had a couple of fauxibas brought to me by a traveling relative that tasted like synthetic oil had been sprayed on the leaves.
But the worst was a DP Blue Label corona that tasted like a can of tuna has been poured all over it when lit. It was stored at a store around my area that has an indoor rain forest for a humidifying agent. It was one of the few sticks in the store not covered in a fine layer of mold, and I was desperate.
Tuna-tasting cigars?? Are those Clinton leftovers? :cbig:Worst of the year for me....I had a tat black tubo that was just void of taste. Someone told me they smoked a giant dancing liga they got at casa, and it tasted real bad.Again, these were the worst cigars in 2011 for me, imho.
Probably was the filler!Someone told me they smoked a giant dancing liga they got at casa, and it tasted real bad.
