By LE, I'm assuming u mean Limited Edition? Are you referring to the LaVerite? Amazing but over-priced. Personally I think the Opus is much better... although admittedly & regretfully I have not had the pleasure of trying one of the CDLF Opus 22s. It gets a little out of my range when you branch into Opus' more exclusive lines but the traditional opus is worth every penny of $15 MSRP. I love them. Also, a fun tidbit (which evry1 is prob already aware of if you read Aficionado): Opus X is Stallone's stick of choice. :tiphat:
Wow, you guys are acting like these are Tat LE's:wink:

i know what it is... I just described it. & I highly doubt it's that much over-priced since our suppliers cost on it was over $600. That's cost before thay add their own margin & OTP. Are you considering the fact that Ohio's tax is almost 20% because all of our customers say that our prices are cheaper than any other decent shop in the state & we guaruntee that if you find a cigar cheaper at a diff shop we will not only match the price but beat it by at leaST 5%. In this case, you're talking about cigars that they only released 500-1000 of each. You pay a little more when you're talking about this kind of exclusivity.
What gibbleguts is getting at is that you described the Opus 22 set, yet this thread is not about the Opus 22 set. Rather it is about the new Forbidden X sizes.

Additionally, Pete Johnson has released a number of Limited Editions....La Verite is only one of them.

rite ok. That makes sense... admittedly I only read the 1st page of the thread b4 that post. I guess that was kinda douchebaggery. & yes I realize there is more than 1 LE. I was simply trying 2 elicit which 1 he was referring to or if he simply meant in general. The LaVerite seems 2 b the most popular 1 at this point, although the Black Lance sold out very quickly. I believe that was also a limited release if I'm not mistaken.

Tatuaje has had a large number of LE's....the comment wasn't just about one or just about the ones from this year.

The last couple of these boxes I have bought have been $750 and $650. That is for the 09 and 10 years. If you check the prometheus website I believe they list MSRP at $950. I buy a lot of cigars and have been lucky to get pretty good discounts on most of them a lot due to great brothers here. One more thing why I may have been a little rude about it is it is generally in bad taste to advertise your own shop if you are not a sponsor here.

ok thats what I was trying to figure out.... really because in my mind they aren't quite as expensive or exclusive as the Rarer Opus lines. BTW not to get off topic but I love your reviews. Actually I stumbled across this site looking for decent reviews & you are the reason I found this place. Thanx

Wow. That surprises me because I did actually look at the invoice to the vendor. Its possible that he deliberatley overpriced it so it wouldnt sell. He happened to mention to me that it's more about letting customers see our status than actually making money off it. He can be goofy like that.
Also, I apologize for the promo. I guess I didn't realize that it was considered inappropriate here. I guess I assumed it was pretty much a free forum for anything but i can understand how that may come off in bad taste. I didn't mean it 2. I've seen a lot of other people doing the same thing & it didnt occur 2 me 2 question whether they were sponsors. I guess I'm a little overzealous about my job sometimes. I love this industry & I love meeting new people & developing friendships with returning customers. I didnt mean to be offensive.

looks like:
7 churchills
6 toros
5 robustos
6 nacimientos
24 total

10 are spoken for by other botls, I'll probably keep 5 to 10 for myself, so there is another 5er out there if someone is on the hunt. will need to figure out sizes but gotta run.
